<b>Introducing the new British Airways First cabin on the Boeing 787-9</b><br />
As British Airways announces that its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will start flying to Abu Dhabi and Muscat from November 5, 2015, the airline has also released images of the new First cabin that will make its debut on the latest aircraft to join the airline’s fleet.<br />
<br />
Seats are now on sale at ba.com, with special return Club World (business class) fares to Abu Dhabi from £1,546 and Muscat from £1,878 while First class seats are on sale from £2,546 to Abu Dhabi, £2,878 to Muscat. The sale runs until September 22, 2015 for travel until June 19, 2016. The announcement comes on the back of the airline confirming last month that the first route to benefit from the new aircraft will be Delhi from October 25. December will see the new 787-9 start flying to Kuala Lumpur, February will see it welcomed on to flights to Austin, Texas, and May will see it travel to San Jose, California.<br />

The 787-9, the first of which is due to arrive with British Airways at the end of September, is 20ft longer that its 787-8 predecessor (of which the airline has eight), so as well as offering World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and Club World (business class), there's also room for a new First cabin – a first for the airline's 787 fleet. <br />
<br />
The First cabin has just eight seats in comparison to the 14 seats* available on other British Airways long-haul aircraft, giving even more exclusivity and privacy to customers. Created specifically for the Boeing 787-9, the new First suites have been painstakingly designed based on feedback from First customers, to put comfort at the heart of the experience and make the very best use of the more intimate space. The suites now include four new storage areas. A new ottoman next to the adjustable footstool has enough room for shoes, handbags and personal items, while the personal suiter for jackets and coats is now accessible without the customer having to move from their seat.<br />
<br />
A new locker positioned at eye-level is perfect for smaller personal effects such as tablets, spectacles, passport and wash-bags. A handy mirror has also been fitted to the inside of the locker door for personal grooming. Customers who need to charge any devices can now do so in a discreet stowage area next to their armrest. Great attention to detail has also been paid to how the customer uses their suite, with each function being controlled by simple, intuitive touch.<br />
<br />
The seat and in-flight entertainment console has been updated with a new handset, much like a smartphone, integrated into the seat from which travellers can control their in-flight entertainment.  During flight, the handset can be docked so that customers are also able to watch one item, such as the moving map, on the handset and another, such as a film, on the 23inch fixed screen. This also means travellers will be able to enjoy gate-to-gate entertainment, without having to stow their television for take-off and landing. The smart 'jog-dial', that previously controlled the seat's recline, now manages five additional functions including the headrest and lumbar inflate and a 'global' lighting control to set both ambient and reading lighting.<br />

The new First cabin on the Boeing 787-9 was developed by Forpeople, London, working together with the airlines' in-house teams and leading British suppliers, including Prototrim, which developed the high quality soft leather and fabric trim within the suite and London based Pritchard Themis who worked on the suite and cabin lighting. The bespoke lighting in every cabin can be set to reflect the time of day, helping to lull travellers to sleep at night and to wake them in the morning. Customers can also enjoy much larger windows, offering views of the horizon from every seat. These collective features mean that travellers arrive feeling fresher and the effect of jet-lag is lessened. The 787s are the most technologically advanced aircraft in British Airways' fleet. Different pressurisation means the internal cabin altitude is the equivalent of 6,000ft, which is 2,000ft lower than on other aircraft. This leads to greater humidity, reducing the drying effect of the cabin air, so customers arrive feeling more refreshed. The aircraft's smooth ride technology also provides extra comfort during any turbulence.<br />
<br />
With a total of 42 787s destined to join British Airways, the aircraft is to become the mainstay of the airline's fleet. </div>

Aston Martin’s bold Second Century Plan for global growth and development is benefiting young job seekers, with news of more opportunities to join the business in sought-after apprenticeship roles.<br />

The luxury British sports car maker – which currently employs almost 40 young apprentices across a wide variety of functions at its modern factory and global headquarters at Gaydon, Warwickshire – is today announcing ten more apprenticeships in a selection of priority positions.<br />
<br />
The recruitment drive will see the apprentices join the business on a four-year fixed contract to learn their trade in one of the following areas: Paint, Trim, Maintenance, Control Engineering and Robotics, or Manufacturing Engineering.<br />
<br />
To be considered for one of the ten places available, candidates must be aged 16 to 18 and have five GCSE passes (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths, English and at least one science.<br />
<br />
They will need to demonstrate an interest in the automotive sector through their previous work experience, hobbies or school project work, and be able to show a commitment to teamwork along with academic aptitude, ambition and a passion for the motor industry.<br />

"The new version of Opera Max touts unique technology that saves data on videos without any significant loss in quality and even reduces buffering," the company said Tuesday in a statement.<br />

On Wi-Fi, Opera Max used 11.1MB and saved 13.4MB of what should have been 24.5MB data stream.<br />

According to Opera, the app can "condense a 10MB video down to 3MB -- and significantly reduce instances of video buffering -- without any noticeable loss of quality."<br />

CNET tested the app and found significant data savings but also significant buffering issues. More on that below.<br />

The free app also includes a feature that shows how much data is saved.<br />
<br />
Originally released in early 2014 after Opera bought Skyfire Labs, Opera Max works by compressing and rerouting data using a virtual private network (VPN) to the "data-savings cloud." All non-encrypted data requests (excluding websites and apps with HTTPS connections) are sent through Opera's compression servers, which optimize video, images and websites to use less data.<br />
<br />
The app's use of proprietary algorithms and software to compress unencrypted data such as text, video, photos and the like on your smartphone allows people to use less of precious data bandwidth.<br />

Does it work?<br />
<br />
Opera gave CNET a test version of the app's latest version and we gave it a go to check the real world savings. Some of the things we wanted to check were whether the compression reduced video quality, whether it made the video load slower because it was running through a VPN and how much raw data we were saving.<br />
<br />
For this test we used an Android 4.4 powered Xiaomi Mi Note running on Singtel's 4G LTE network in Singapore.<br />
<br />
For the test, we streamed the first three minutes of this YouTube video in HD and these were the results:<br />

On 4G, the savings on mobile data were huge with Opera Max saving 10.3MB of data from an 18.8MB data stream. On Wi-Fi, the savings were equally good with Opera Max saving 13.4MB of a 24.5MB data stream.<br />
<br />
The big issue, though, was buffering speeds. Simply put, especially in HD, Opera Max slowed YouTube buffer speeds to a crawl with the video stopping once every seven to 10 seconds to buffer for another eight seconds. Needless to say, this makes watching HD videos problematic and painful.<br />
<br />
This effect is lessened if you turn down the quality -- and thus the data use -- of your video, making Opera Max good for watching videos while on mobile data but rather pointless on Wi-Fi<br />

During today's unveiling for the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+, Samsung revealed an interesting, potentially powerful new feature for video makers. Both phones will tout a feature called Live Broadcast, which will allow users broadcast a live video stream from their phones directly to YouTube.<br />

SAMSUNG'S PLAY AGAINST PERISCOPE AND MEERKAT<br />
<br />
Live Broadcast appears to be Samsung's play against popular live streaming apps like Periscope and Meerkat. The feature is built directly into the native camera app, and it allows you to schedule schedule streams or push them live immediately. Stream are up to 1080p resolution at 60fps. It should be noted, though, that there's no social integration within the camera app, so you can't see comments. Also, older phones like the Sony Xperia series from years past have touted a similar feature. Still, Live Broadcast could be a game changer, as it could make the feature a must-have for manufacturers going forward.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Adam Benson, deputy director of the non-profit DCA, said the trade in stolen webcam footage was "troubling" and called on Google, which owns YouTube, to stop relying on computer-based methods to find and remove the videos.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">In other cases involving videos that showed shocking or illegal images, YouTube had deployed teams of people to handle complaints and hunt down offending clips, he said.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">"The humans can see things that the algorithm is just not going to pick up," he said.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">In a statement, Google said: "YouTube has clear policies that outline what content is acceptable to post and we remove videos violating these policies when flagged by our users."</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The same should be done with these clips that often frighten, humiliate and terrorise victims, said Mr Benson.</span><br />
