However, in this film John Abraham is playing the lead role rather than Akshay Kumar, although he would be playing a different character. Katrina Kaif, who played the female lead in the original movie was also replaced by Sonakshi Sinha however she soon dropped out citing date issues. Following Sinha's exit from the film, Asin was selected to play the female lead, but due to date clashes she opted out and was replaced by Shruti Haasan. Debutante Sakshi Maggo from Delhi was given a role in the film. Sara Loren will perform an item song.</span></div>
